After scoring on his début against Stoke City, Welbeck spoke of its significance to him.

“Scoring in front of the Stretford End is what every young boy from Manchester dreams of,” he said. “I loved it. I’ve thought about it every day of my life ever since I started playing football.”

Now a regular in the Manchester United starting eleven, Welbeck regularly scores and regularly kisses the badge, most recently in their 5-0 win over Wolves on Sunday.
