Alves gets over Sevilla with Barca kiss

Dani Alves was seen kissing the Barcelona badge following his team’s 3-1 win over Manchester United in 2011 Champions League final.

Alves joined Barcelona in 2008 after spending six years with Sevilla. At the press conference where his departure was announced, he burst in to tears. “I am what I am thanks to Sevilla,” he said. “What I have experienced here will be impossible to experience anywhere else. I give a heartfelt thanks to a club that is marked in my heart.”

In the four seasons he’s spent at Barcelona he’s won three league titles, two European Cups, the Copa del Rey twice, the Supercopa de España three times, two UEFA Super Cups and two FIFA Club World Cups.

“I want to continue to make history with Barcelona,” he said last week after being linked with a move to the Premier League. “I have no plans to leave the club because I am very comfortable here and I have a contract that is still going. We have a great group of players here and I love going into training with them every day.”
