Arthur Melo spent most of his playing career at Brazilian club Gremio, the team he joined at the age of 14. He went on to play 70 times for the Brazilian side.

Melo signed for Barcelona in the summer for €31 million and made his first appearance in a friendly against Tottenham Hotspur.
