Iker Casillas was just nine-years-old when he joined boyhood team Real Madrid and became their number one when he was eighteen. In 2008 he signed a nine-year contract extension which would keep him at the club for the rest of his career…

“Everybody knows Madrid are in my heart and that I’m a White until I die,” he said. “I joined Real Madrid as a child and Madrid is my home.”

Following a 1-0 vitory over hated rivals Barcelona in the Copa del Rey, Casillas kissed the badge in front of the fans.

When the team returned to Madrid that evening, Casillas climbed up on the to Cibeles fountain to kiss it.
