Mesut Özil kisses badge of club he couldn’t refuse
10 08 2012After playing for various youth teams Mesut Özil joined Schalke 04 when he was 16-years-old. He spent a year and a half in their first team before falling out with club management and being sold to Werder Bremen for €4.3 million.
After two and a half seasons at Bremen, Özil became one of the most desirable signings in Europe after great performances for Germany in the World Cup. Barcelona, Manchester United and Arsenal were all keen to sign him but he opted for a move to Real Madrid.

Villa kisses after breaking record
14 06 2012David Villa kissed the badge on his shirt after becoming the first Spanish player to score in six consecutive games for his country. He scored the first in a 2-0 win over England in a friendly in February 2009.
“I am very happy with the goal,” he said. “Truth is, I really want to see it on TV. The record is very nice. I would never have imagined in years that I would be able to obtain it. I am very proud and I hope I can continue breaking records”
Villa has an incredible record for Spain, scoring 50 goals in 82 games.

Shunsuke saves kisses for Spain after Scotland stint
26 04 2012Shunsuke Nakamura spent four years at Celtic and dismissed any transfer rumours linking him with other clubs, claiming that he would leave when his contract expired to return to his boyhood club, Yokohama F. Marinos.
However, after his contract ran out, he joined Espanyol on a free and kissed their badge at his unveiling.
