Eljero Elia signed for Juventus on a four-year deal for €9million from Hamburger but struggled to get in the team. In fact, he only played five games in all competitions all season. On April 29th, he kissed Juventus’ badge… on June 11th he handed in a transfer request.

Elia was signed by Werder Bremen for €5.5million two weeks ago.

Balotelli the badge kisser

Mario Balotelli kissed Italy’s badge after putting his country 1-0 up in a friendly against Poland in November 2011.

Mario was born in Palermo, Sicily, to Ghanaian immigrant parents, but was adopted by the Balotellis when he was a small child. When he turned 18 he was given Italian citizenship and represented Italy at U-21 level before playing for the senior team.

De Rossi keeps it in the family

Daniele De Rossi joined Roma’s youth set up when he was 17-year-old and is the son of former Roma player and current Roma coach, Alberto De Rossi.

After scoring against Inter Milan in front of his home fans in 2010, he kissed the badge.

Bojinov badge kisses on loan to Parma

After spending a season on loan with Parma from Manchester City, Valeri Bojinov kissed their badge after making his move permanent the following season and scoring against Brescia.

At the end of the season he was sold to Sporting Lisbon.

Del Piero’s off… but still kisses the badge
